Product Overview

Baghouse dust collectors are widely used in metallurgy, mining, machinery manufacturing, cement, building materials, grain processing, pharmaceuticals, light industry, power generation, and other industries for the collection of fine, dry, non-fibrous dust.
They play an important role in controlling dust pollution, protecting the environment, improving working conditions, safeguarding workers' health, and recovering valuable materials.
Baghouse dust collectors feature a large air-handling capacity, compact footprint, high dust collection efficiency, reliable operation, simple structure, and low maintenance requirements. Dust collection efficiency can exceed 99%, making them a mature and highly efficient solution for industrial dust control.

Operating Principle

The baghouse dust collector adopts a modular multi-compartment design. Pulse valves installed at the top of each compartment clean the filter bags in sequence while the corresponding compartment is temporarily isolated from the airflow. This cleaning method is known as offline pulse-jet cleaning.
Unlike conventional online pulse-jet cleaning, in which selected filter bags are cleaned while the filtration process continues within the same compartment, offline cleaning temporarily shuts off airflow through one compartment before the filter bags are cleaned.
The dislodged dust falls directly into the hopper below, minimizing secondary dust re-entrainment. This makes the system particularly suitable for handling gases with high dust concentrations. In addition, filter bags in an individual compartment can be inspected or replaced without shutting down the entire dust collection system.

Structural Components

Baghouse dust collectors are available in series with 32, 64, 96, 128, or 300 filter bags per compartment. Each series is available in various configurations according to the number of compartments. The main components are as follows:

(1) Housing Assembly
The housing assembly includes the clean-air chamber, filtration chamber, compartment partitions, access doors, and main housing structure. The clean-air chamber is equipped with poppet valves, a tube sheet, and pulse-jet blowpipes, while the filtration chamber contains the filter bags and supporting cages.
(2) Dust Hopper and Discharge System
The system includes dust hoppers and, depending on the model and inlet dust concentration, may be equipped with screw conveyors and rotary airlock valves for dust discharge.
(3) Air Inlet and Outlet System
The air inlet and outlet system includes inlet and outlet ducts and intermediate partition plates. In a single-row configuration, the system is arranged on one side of the housing; in a double-row configuration, it is positioned in the center of the housing.
(4) Pulse-Jet Cleaning System
The pulse-jet cleaning system includes pulse valves, a compressed-air header, poppet-valve cylinders, solenoid valves, and related components.
(5) Compressed-Air System (Optional)
Optional components include compressed-air piping, pressure-reducing devices, oil-water separators, lubricators, and related accessories.
(6) Support and Maintenance Access
Includes support columns, vertical caged ladders, and safety handrails.
