Product Overview

Baghouse dust collectors are widely used in industries such as metallurgy, mining, machinery, cement, building materials, grain, pharmaceuticals, light industry, and electric power, for capturing fine, dry, non‑fibrous dust. They play a significant role in eliminating dust pollution, protecting environmental hygiene, improving working conditions, safeguarding workers' health, and recovering valuable materials. Baghouse dust collectors feature large air handling capacity, small footprint, high purification efficiency, reliable operation, simple structure, and low maintenance requirements. With a collection efficiency of over 99%, they are a mature and well‑developed high‑efficiency dust removal device.

Working Principle

The baghouse dust collector is a modular, compartmentalized design. It uses pulse valves mounted on the top of each compartment to perform sequential off‑line pulse cleaning (i.e., off‑line cleaning) on the filter bags in each chamber. This is different from conventional pulse‑jet cleaning, where bags in the same chamber are cleaned while other bags in the same chamber continue to filter. In this design, cleaning is performed with the chamber inlet valve closed, so the dislodged dust falls directly into the hopper without re‑entrainment. This is particularly advantageous for filtering high‑concentration dust‑laden gases. Additionally, filter bags in one chamber can be replaced without shutting down the entire system.

Structural Components

The baghouse dust collector is available in series with different numbers of bags per compartment, including 32 bags/comp., 64 bags/comp., 96 bags/comp., 128 bags/comp., 300 bags/comp., etc. Each series is further available in various models with different numbers of compartments. The structure consists of the following parts:

(1) Housing section: Includes the clean air chamber (also called the gas purification box), the filtration chamber, compartment partition plates, access doors, and the housing structure. The clean air chamber houses the poppet valves, tube sheet, and blow pipes; the filtration chamber contains the filter bags and their cages.

(2) Hopper and dust discharge mechanism: Includes a hopper and, depending on the series and inlet dust concentration, is equipped with a screw conveyor and a rigid impeller discharger (dust discharge valve).

(3) Inlet and outlet air plenum: Includes the inlet and outlet air ducts and a partition plate. For single‑row (or single‑line) configurations, it is arranged on one side of the housing; for double‑row (or double‑line) configurations, it is arranged in the middle of the housing.

(4) Pulse cleaning device: Includes pulse valves, air reservoirs, cylinders for the poppet valves, and their solenoid valves.

(5) Optional compressed air piping and pressure reducing devices, oil‑water separators, oil mist lubricators, etc.

(6) Support columns and vertical cage ladder, guardrails.
