The Settling-Pit Bucket Elevator is mainly used in coal washing and coal preparation plants to lift washed coal and gangue discharged from the lower section of jigging machines. It can also be used to recover coarse clean coal and fine coal from settling pits, while allowing the conveyed material to drain naturally through the buckets under gravity during lifting.
It is commonly used in coal preparation plants and calcium-magnesium phosphate fertilizer plants. Featuring a simple structure and reliable operation, the elevator is primarily used to lift washed middlings, gangue, and quenched calcium-magnesium phosphate fertilizer. It is also suitable for conveying other washed lump or granular materials.

Product Features
The Settling-Pit Bucket Elevator is mainly used for conveying and dewatering coal preparation products. The installation angle ranges from 55° to 70°, with 60° being the most common. The operating speed ranges from 0.16 to 0.27 m/s. The dewatering time is approximately 20–25 seconds for lump coal and 40–60 seconds for fine coal.
The equipment features a simple structure, reliable operation, long service life, and low maintenance costs. In coal preparation plants, it is commonly used together with jigging machines to lift and dewater separation products, including middlings and gangue, and to provide preliminary dewatering of clean coal.
Structure and Components
Settling-Pit Bucket Elevators are available in two configurations: suspended type (outside-pit installation) and base-mounted type (in-pit installation).
The elevator body consists of a head section, open casing sections, enclosed casing sections, in-pit open casing sections, and intermediate supports.
The drive unit, head assembly, and bucket-chain assembly of the Settling-Pit Bucket Elevator are structurally identical to the corresponding components of the Dewatering Bucket Elevator. Depending on the installation configuration, the tail section is available as either a suspended tail assembly, equipped with a suspended tail hopper, or a base-mounted tail assembly installed directly inside the pit.
