Product Introduction
The trommel screen, also known as a rotary screen or revolving screen, features high screening efficiency and is not prone to screen clogging. It is widely used for screening and classifying raw coal, sand, gravel, and other materials in industries such as electric power, mining, metallurgy, building materials, and chemicals. It can perform four‑stage screening, with two zones for finished products. The bottom of the screen body is equipped with a built‑in hopper, which has a sector gate at the lower part. The coarse material section is provided with a chute that can directly deliver coarse materials to conveying equipment, facilitating flexible process layout.
Working Principle
The trommel screen consists of a motor, reducer, drum device, frame, and other components. The drum device is arranged at an inclined angle. The motor, via the reducer, connects to the drum mechanism and drives it to rotate around its axis. When material enters the drum device, due to the inclination and rotation of the drum, the qualified material (undersize product) is discharged through the screen mesh on the outer circumference of the drum, while the unqualified material (oversize product) is discharged from the end of the drum. The drum device is sealed by a machine cover, effectively preventing dust leakage during operation and eliminating dust pollution. When screen replacement is needed, simply open the machine cover for convenient operation.

- Low energy consumption and good working environment: The entire drum can be sealed with an isolation cover, completely eliminating dust emission, material splashing, and other pollution during the screening cycle, ensuring a clean working environment.
- Low noise: The low rotational speed and the sealing isolation cover effectively contain noise, preventing it from transmitting to the outside.
- Long service life and low maintenance: The trommel screen consists of several ring‑shaped screen meshes, providing a total screening area much larger than other screen types. Combined with high screening efficiency and short operating time, it offers a long service life, few wear parts, and low maintenance requirements.
