Product Introduction

The trommel screen, also known as a cylindrical screen or rotary screen, features a high screening rate and screen openings that are resistant to clogging. It is widely used in the power, mining, metallurgy, building materials, chemical, and other industries for the screening and classification of raw coal, sand, gravel, and other materials. The equipment can perform four-stage screening, with two sections designated for finished products. A hopper is integrated at the bottom of the screen body, with a sector gate installed beneath it. The coarse-material section is equipped with a chute that can discharge coarse material directly onto conveying equipment, facilitating process layout.

Working Principle

The trommel screen consists mainly of a motor, reducer, drum assembly, frame, and other components, with the drum assembly installed at an inclined angle. The motor is connected to the drum mechanism through the reducer, which drives the drum to rotate around its axis. When material enters the drum, the inclination and rotation of the drum cause qualified material (undersize product) to pass through the screen mesh around the outer circumference of the drum, while unqualified material (oversize product) is discharged from the end of the drum. The drum assembly is enclosed by a sealed housing cover, effectively preventing dust from escaping during operation and reducing dust pollution. When the screen mesh needs to be replaced, the housing cover can simply be opened for easy replacement.

The entire screening drum can be enclosed with a sealed protective cover, effectively preventing airborne dust and the splashing of lump materials during the screening process and reducing contamination of the working environment.

5. Low Operating Noise

During operation, the relatively low rotational speed, combined with the sealed enclosure that isolates the equipment from the surrounding environment, effectively reduces the transmission of noise and lowers overall operating noise.

6. Long Service Life and Low Maintenance

The rotary screen consists of multiple circular screen sections, providing a total screening area much larger than that of many other types of screening equipment. Combined with high screening efficiency and relatively short operating time, the equipment offers a long service life, fewer wear parts, and reduced maintenance requirements.
