Product Overview
The rotary drum screen is a key piece of equipment in boiler coal‑firing systems and coal‑preparation plants, and it can be used across metallurgy, chemical processing, building materials, and the coal industry. Its screening surface consists of numerous parallel roller shafts, each fitted with staggered screening discs; these rollers are driven by sprockets or gears and rotate in the same direction as the material flow. To loosen the material layer on the screen and facilitate passage through the mesh, the screening discs are designed with eccentric or specially shaped profiles. All rotary drum screens are pedestal‑mounted and are available in left‑hand and right‑hand drive configurations. The unit comprises an electric motor, reducer, coupling, screening shafts, screening discs, bearings, a screening hood, a base frame, and an electrical control cabinet. Depending on installation requirements, this machine is offered in left‑hand or right‑hand drive versions; please specify your preference when placing your order.
Product operating principle
Because the screening shafts are arranged at different operating angles, the material moves more rapidly when it passes through areas with steeper angles and more slowly when it traverses areas with gentler angles. When materials moving at these two distinct speeds converge at a specific point on the screen surface, they begin to undergo axial motion, allowing for a uniform distribution of the material layer and thereby effectively enhancing screening efficiency.

1. The rotary screen utilizes multi-axis rotation to propel material forward, offering excellent product sealing and low noise levels.
2. Each screening shaft of the rotary screen is equipped with its own drive unit, ensuring high safety and ease of maintenance.
3. The screening discs of the rotary drum screen are all cast from manganese steel, offering excellent wear resistance and a long service life.
4. The screening shaft is equipped with an overload protection device that automatically triggers an alarm and disconnects the motor power supply when the shaft becomes jammed, thereby providing self‑protection. Upon customer request, an electric damper can be added to enable bypass operation, enhancing operational flexibility.
