Product Overview

The bucket‑type lift is primarily used in coal washing and coal preparation plants to convey washed coal and gangue from the bottom of jigging machines, or to lift coarse‑grained clean coal and fine coal from the settling tanks of the receiving pits. During lifting, gravity causes the conveyed material to drain naturally within the buckets. It is one of the commonly employed pieces of equipment in coal preparation plants and calcium‑magnesium‑phosphate fertilizer plants, offering a simple structure and reliable operation. Its main applications include conveying middlings, gangue, and cooled calcium‑magnesium‑phosphate fertilizer after washing; it is also suitable for handling other washed bulk or granular materials.

Model Description

Example L3240 bucket‑type elevator: L—bucket‑type; 32—bucket‑chain pitch (cm); 40—bucket width (cm)

Product Features

The Laokeng bucket elevator is primarily used for conveying and dewatering the cleaned‑coal products in coal preparation plants. It is installed at an angle of 55° to 70°, typically 60°, with a operating speed of 0.16 to 0.27 m/s. The dewatering time for lump coal is 20 to 25 seconds, while for fine coal it is approximately 40 to 60 seconds. This equipment features a simple structure, reliable operation, long service life, and low maintenance costs. It is mainly employed in coal preparation plants to lift and dewater the cleaned‑coal products—including middlings and gangue—in conjunction with jigging machines, as well as to perform preliminary dewatering of clean coal.

Structural Composition

Bucket elevators are classified into suspended (external‑pit) bucket elevators and pedestal (internal‑pit) bucket elevators.

The body of the sump bucket elevator consists of a head section, an open section, a closed section, an in-sump open section, and intermediate supports.

The drive unit, head assembly, and bucket-chain assembly of the pit‑type bucket elevator are structurally identical to their counterparts in the dewatering bucket elevator. The tail assembly, depending on operational requirements, is available as either a suspended type (with a suspended tail hopper) or a pedestal type (mounted directly within the pit).

L-shaped bucket elevator with a scoop-type receiving hopper

The bucket‑type lift for the sump is primarily used in coal washing and coal preparation plants to convey washed coal and gangue from the lower section of the jig; alternatively, it can be employed to lift coarse‑grained clean coal and fine‑grained coal from the sump’s sedimentation tank, enabling the lifted material to undergo gravity‑driven dewatering within the buckets during the lifting process.
